Howard County Pony Club was founded in 1959 by members of the Howard County-Iron Bridge Hunt as a local club of the United States Pony Clubs, Inc. Most of our members live in Howard County, but we also have members who live in Montgomery County and Carroll County. HCPC currently has members ranging in age from 8 to 18. We conduct our lessons, clinics, ratings, and meetings at a variety of sites including the Carroll County Equestrian Center, Talbot Run Equestrian Center, Howard County Fairgrounds, Schooley Mill Park, and a number of private farms. We conduct lessons and participate in the following disciplines: quiz, dressage, show jumping, games, tetrathlon, and combined training. HCPC is a not-for-profit youth organization dedicated to educating youth "just crazy" about horses. HCPC instructors, volunteers and parents teach kids about horse care, horsemanship, teamwork, cooperation, and sportsmanship. We are a member of the Capital Region of the United States Pony Clubs and are located in Howard County, Maryland. HCPC kids participate in local, regional and national competitions/rallies in know down, games, dressage, show jumping, and combined training. We offer instruction, clinics, competitions, camps and many other activities for kids from five to twenty-one. To find out more about us, please check out our Contact Us page. |
